Copying a transaction

Is it possible to copy a transaction - I keep having to recreate new ones for the same type which is very time consuming.

Copying a transaction

Hello there, MD_33.

As of now, there is no option where we can do a copy for the manually added transactions in QuickBooks Self Employed. you could use a third party application or keep in a note on your pc/MS office etc. and then copy and paste into the invoice the detail you re-use.  I will not leave you there, though. I have another option that you might consider doing.

You can make a CSV file for the transactions by exporting them. Right after, you can import every time you need them.

Here's how:

  1. Go to Transactions on the left panel.
  2. Click the drop-down arrow of the Add transactions button.

  3. Select Import Transactions.
  4. You can either choose a bank where you can import those transactions or click the import transactions link if you haven't connected to a bank.

I'm including about adding older transaction to your QBSE account. This will explain on how you can get transactions  before you've connected to your account.

You can tag me anytime if you have follow-up questions of inputting transaction in your account. Have a great day!
