How do I change exclusive of tax to inclusive of tax in sales receipt? I can change it manually each time but it would be much simpler if I can change it as a default setting, is there a way to do this, thank you

Hello Bestbuddies,
Here's how you can change the default tax rate when creating sales receipts:
Then, you don't have to change the tax rate every time when creating sales receipts.

No. I have both type of invoices "Inclusive" as well as "Exclusive". So that causes the products rate to change when I change the status to "Inclusive or Exclusive". In my opinion the tax price and total should change rather than the product rate.
Hello,
I have a related problem.
My default VAT is set to inclusive in 'settings'.
I have also set VAT to inclusive when assigning VAT to each purchase transaction.
However, each transaction is showing up in the P&L and the B/S as exclusive of VAT.
This means that all my accounts are wrong: the total is exclusive of VAT, so it's 23% less than it should be.
This is the case for every VAT rate, every transaction. So, it's not as though I set up a VAT rate wrong: it's doing this with the QBO pre-loaded VAT rates, as well as with new VAT rates I've created to see if that would fix the issue
Do you have any suggestions?
I've spent all day trying to fix this: it's not 1am. 4 of your colleagues have responsed to my queries throughout the day. One genius suggested changing browsers. Another just told me to call the help line (and yes, he knew they don't work on weekends), and the other 2 geniuses just referred me to the original response.
Thanks.
Is this why it's not working for me?
is it something to do with cash v accrual accounting?

Hello there, @zac-zenzyc-io.
I can see you have a related post with the same concern. My colleague, AileneA, provided an answer in this link: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-uk/vat/re-amounts-regardless-of-whether-i-select-incl...
Let me know if you have questions about taxes. I'm always here to help. Have a great day.
more gaslighting!!! @Ethel_A
do any of you know anything? Have any of you EVER helped anyone, with anything? In your case, 37 solutions, from 1264 responses. And I wonder if your clients actually pressed the 'solved' button?
Your colleague DIDN'T give a response. As you linked to their email, you're already aware of that. And yet, because you're too useless to actually do your job, you just send empty inane emails wasting people's time.
If your colleague had actually given a helpful or even sensible response, I wouldn't have reposted my question.
Do you guys actually know anything? Genuine question. Because you guys so rarely actually say anything in any of your emails.
Hi there. I appreciate you getting back here.
I can see that you did everything you could and already followed the recommendations provided by my colleagues. Also, the link provided by my peer, Ethel_A has already been updated.
If you haven't seen it yet, you can go directly to that thread by clicking this link.
If you have any other concerns managing your QuickBooks account, please don't hesitate to leave a reply below. Have a good one and stay safe.
what recommendations did your colleagues actually give?
Did you read anything they said?
i'm assuming you guys get paid for the quantity of responses you give, rather than the quality. Because, none of you guys ever seem to give any substantive responses: just pasting links to other waffly inane time-wasting nonsense. Your success rate is 172 solutions from over 4100 responses. Spectacular!!
