How do I get the Invoice number to show on page 2 of a customer invoice - I'm using my own style imported template?

Many of our Sales invoices have multiple line entries, I've tried to condense the line spacing between to make them 1-page but the space between each line charge remains the same. I send the same customer many invoices in one go so if they print them off there's no way for them to identify page 2 for each invoice.

How do I get the Invoice number to show on page 2 of a customer invoice - I'm using my own style imported template?

A couple of workarounds to try (may or may not work - I haven't tested).

1)  enter the invoice no. tag (is it <refnumber>?) in the header or footer of the docx template.  I think these are carried over.

(that will probably upset the system but worth a try)

2)  assuming you haven't already used all three custom fields, put one of these in the header/footer of the docx template - when the invoice runs to multiple pages, enter the invoice number into the custom field (so it's effectively shown twice on each invoice).

Hi MktW

We have not been able to see a function in the product to do this. That is not to say there is not a way this could be done and we welcome any Community users who have found a workaround to reply to this post and share their solutions.

Thank you Paul72, the footer suggestion has worked (I'm already using all 3 Custom Fields). Sorted!!

Glad (& a little surprised!) that it worked.
