QuickBooks requires a name whenever AR and AP accounts are used in journal entries. This is to make sure that these entries are reflected in your reports correctly. You'll need to select a customer name if you need to affect the AR account in the journal entry.
You might also want to check with your accountant to verify which customer to tag for this entry. The Community is always here if you need anything else.
