Hello there, Nelly111S.
There are two ways to import customer addresses into QuickBooks Online (QBO). You can import them using the Excel file or use the Connect your Gmail account option when creating an invoice.
However, if you're not seeing the latter option, we can try performing some basic troubleshooting steps to verify if it's an issue with your browser.
Let's start by using an incognito or private browser when adding a customer from the Invoice tab. This is to see if the issue is caused by an overloaded data in your default browser's cache.
You can use either of the following shortcut keys:
If it works, I recommend clearing your browser's cache to refresh your browser and delete files that are affecting the browsing performance. Otherwise, try using other supported browser.
Let me know if there's anything else I can help you. I'm here to keep helping. Have a good one.
I'm trying to use the Connect Gmail account option. I should have mentioned that I use the Mac Desktop app, not a browser, to access QBO, so the clearing cache is not relevant to me. I've tried using a browser and get the same result though (i.e. no option to use Gmail contacts)
Hello Nelly111S,
Our engineers confirmed that we have an ongoing issue where some customers are unable to link Gmail contacts into QuickBooks Online. At this time, they're working on the system to fix this and find a permanent resolution.
While we're investigating this, I'd suggest contacting us so we can add you to the list of affected users. Once we have the fix, we'll send you an email update.
Thanks for your patience and please let me know if you have any questions. I'm here to help. Take care.
