Is there a way of adding the pictures uploaded on the products list to an invoice? A jeweller client had this facility in another accounting system (Debitoor) and I cannot see how to customise the invoice to include pictures. Grateful for any advice

Thank you for clarifying your concern, @RKR29061.
At this time, QuickBooks Online (QBO) only allows you the attach documents on invoices.
I can see that the option to add a thumbnail to each line item on an invoice is beneficial to you and your company to provide the best for your clients. But also know that we are taking notes of our clients' suggestions as well as yours to improve your experience in QuickBooks.
For now, I encourage sending feedback to our engineering team by going to the Gear icon, then selecting Feedback. This way, they can consider checking and working on the option to add a thumbnail on an invoice.
Also, you can visit our blog site so you'll be able to get the latest news about QuickBooks and what our Product Care Team is working on.
Please keep in touch if there's anything else I can do to help you succeed with QuickBooks. I've got your back.
Hey. RKR29061.
Thank you for reaching out to the Community. You can use the Attachment feature at the bottom of the invoice to include the pictures of the product.
I'll show you how to do it:
The image will show on your customer's end when they received the transaction. To know more about attachments in QuickBooks Online, check out this article: Attachments in QuickBooks Online.
Additionally, I'm adding this resource as good references to learn more ways how to handle and customise your invoices: Customise invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QuickBooks Online.

Hello,
Thanks for your reply. I may not have made myself clear - I would like to be able to add a thumbnail of the product item on each line of the invoice. This is because I have a client who is a jeweller and in their previous accounting package (Debitoor) this was feasible and a very useful aspect of quality control for packing on the business side and receipt QC on the customer side. The thumbnail appears alongside the product name/code and the number supplied - hence making it super-efficient for both my client and their customer.
We are able to add small pictures to each product in the product list, so it would simply be a case of using the same product picture and code on the invoice - but NOT as an uploaded attachment to the main document.
I do believe that this would be a REALLY useful addition to invoicing with a switch on/off toggle on invoicing to allow this feature. It seems odd that DEBITOOR, which has a lot less functionality than QBO is actually ahead of QBO in this case!
I have heard from other sources that this is not feasible but request that you pass the information on to the developers.
Thank you

Hi There Quickbooks!
I am a self employed musician and am currently trying to attach documents like proof of travel expenses to my client, but don't have the attachment box at the bottom of any of my invoices. Am I missing something?
Hello JMG17, thanks for posting on this thread, can we ask which product you have taken out with us at Quickbooks, is it our self-employed account or one of our online accounts (simple start, essentials, plus or advanced)?
Hiya,
I’ve got the quickbooks self employed account.
Hello JMG17, thanks for coming back to us, so in the self-employed account, the only way would be to manually add the receipt to the transaction. You cant attach anything to the invoice as the invoices are only for your reference only.
Was this ever done? Its 2025 and I need this capability and I cant find it. It shouldnt be a big deal... and its our responsibility if the invoice looks too crouded
I recognize your concern about adding more information to your invoices, SnowT.
Adding pictures to each line item on your invoices is unavailable in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
I want to assure you that we're actively considering user feedback like yours to shape the future development of our platform. It helps us improve the product and tailor it to your needs. I'll guide you through the process.
Aside from that, you can search for an app that helps generate employee's starting pay, increase, date, reasons, and bonuses. To do this, go to the Apps menu in your account and browse for apps that integrate with QuickBooks. You can also visit our QuickBooks App Store for additional reference.
We appreciate your patience as we finalize this. If you have other questions about invoices, please reply here, and I'll assist you.
