Hello Cjcarlettiwest,
Welcome to the Community page,
If you go to the cog wheel> recurring transactions> new>invoices>ok> on the line that says interval if you select monthly then select the on days and date then in the box that says of every 1 month(s) you would enter in instead of 1 you would put 3 so then it would get sent out on every 3 months fill in the rest of the template then slick save template and you would then do the same steps for the 6 months on as well.
Hello Cjcarlettiwest,

Thanks.
Would that be the same for sending out every 24 months i.e. If we put 24, then it would get sent out on every 24 months?
Hi cjcarlettiwest, there is a specific option for 'yearly' on the interval drop-down when creating the recurring transaction :)
Thanks however we don't want to send then out yearly (12 months) we want to send them out every 2 years i.e. every 24 months...
Hello Cjcarlettiwest, it would not be possible to do it for the 24 months you would have to do the yearly option instead. You can always leave this as feedback within the main cog wheel.
Hi,
Are you saying even thougth it's allowing specify 24 months & save the template, it wont send in 24 months?
Screenshot attached.
Note I can see the 'Next Date:' reads '01/06/2022', however supprisingly even if i chang it from every 24 months to every 6 months, that 'Next Date:' still reads '01/06/2022',
Nice of you to share a screenshot with us, @cjcarlettiwest.
Allow me to chime in and provide additional insights about recurring invoice in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
If you've set your recurring invoice for every 24 months, it will only generate the invoice for 24 months. After that, it'll stop to recur and you'll need to set it up for another month.
In the regards to the Next Date field, it is based on the interval date you set. If you set it up for Monthly on day 1st of every 6 months. The invoice will recur every 1st day of the month for 6 months.
You'll want to ensure to click the Save template button to update your recurring invoice. If this is not the case, I suggest logging out and logging back in to your account for the changes to take effect.
I understand having the option to set your recurring transactions to 2 years is beneficial to your business. I recommend sending your feedback to our Development team. This way, they can review your suggestion and might consider implementing it in future updates.
Here's how:
In the meantime, you'll want to look for a third-party app that lets you send your invoice every 2 years. Simply hover to the Apps menu and look for an app from there.
Once you're all set, you might want to check out this article for guidance on how to account your customer payments: Record invoice payments in QuickBooks Online.
I'll be around if you need more help managing your invoices and QBO. Please don't hesitate to leave the details in your reply and I'll take care of them for you. Have a good one!
