Hello, mrspscakery.

Disconnecting the bank is one of the steps to help resolve bank connection issues. I have a bunch of solutions we can try to help pull your transactions into QuickBooks Online.

What's the name of your bank? Also, did you encounter an error code in the Banking page? I can narrow down the issue and give the best possible solution with additional details like these.

In the meantime, I'll add these details that can help you with the bank transaction issue. There are a number of reasons why your transactions don't appear in the Banking page:

  • Your bank is doing maintenance updates. You'll want to contact them to see if this is the case. Transactions will usually start downloading automatically after they finish the maintenance.
  • Some banks don't post new transactions. You might have to wait until they are cleared.
  • There's a change on your bank's details. In this case, you'll want to update the information in QuickBooks as well. Go to the Banking page, then click the Edit (the one with the pencil) icon. Choose Edit sign-in info, then update your bank login details.

You might have already tried this, but we can update your bank manually to pull your transactions. Simply go to the Banking page, then hit the Update button. You'll want to do this at least three to five times.

If you encounter a specific error code, you'll want to check the solutions here: Open Banking Connection Errors.

We can also import your transactions manually through a CSV file. The steps and details can be found in this article: Import bank transactions from .CSV to QuickBooks.

When you finally download or bring the transactions in to the Banking page, you can start categorising or matching them.

I'd appreciate your reply regarding the bank's name, or the error code. You can also add any other future questions you might have for QuickBooks Online, or the app itself.
