Let's first clear your QuickBooks mobile app's data. This removes any stored cache that may have been corrupted and affected the display in your QuickBooks app.
Here's how:
- From your Android phone's settings, click Apps(varies by device).
- Choose the QuickBooks app from the list.
- Click Storage.
- Select Clear data.
For iOS device
- Click the burger icon (3 horizontal lines) at the bottom-right.
- Scroll down and select Help & Feedback.
- Click on Refresh data.
Once completed, you can follow these steps in adding and saving sales tax rate in your new phone. You can follow the appropriate steps for the device you're using:
For iPhone
- From the Menu ☰, select Settings.
- Tap Tax Rates.
- If this is your first time, you'll see an introductory screen: select Add tax rate to get started.
- Choose Add a new tax rate, then select whether that rate is Single or Combined.
- Click the Plus icon (+).
- Select Single sales tax rate or Combined sales tax rate.
- Enter the following information about the sales tax rate:
- Single rate: Add the information for each component (Tax Rate name, Agency, and Rate).
- Combined rate: Add the information for each component (Combined Tax Rate name, Tax Rate Name, Agency, and Rate).
- Click Save.
For Android
- From the Menu ☰, select Estimates or Invoices.
- Tap Edit ✎.
- Choose Add Item, then click +.
- Mark the Is Taxable checkbox, then select Add.
- Select Add Tax.
- Enter your tax rate info.
- Click Done.
