Hello mwelby
Quick answer; no.
Some banks seem to have this open banking more sorted than others. My most problematical bank is HSBC. All worked fine (old style of putting in pass codes every time) until suddenly a few weeks ago they were also giving me the correct balance but only downloading transactions to the end of the previous day. I tried online chat with both bank and QBO and tried disconnecting then reconnecting the bank. Then suddenly, it seemed to work correctly so it was unclear as to what solved it. I suspect it was the bank and their updating moves to open banking. I still have to put in my passcodes, mind you, but at least the transactions tally with the balance. Still not fully 'open", though.
Lloyds meanwhile are fully open banking, but you have to reconfirm the security every couple of months. Santander has been fully "Open" for some time and works well.
Presumably NatWest, like HSBC, is changing their systems slower, but you could ask to check on their Open Banking Status.

Hello Mwelby
It depends on the type of connection if it is a direct feed connect it'll update every 24 hours however over the weekend the transactions will sometimes take longer as we are working on what the bank pass over to us.
On a standard feed you can update multiple times a day.
On the new open banking connection it is a real time connection
How long is the delay you are experiencing?
Emma
Thanks for the comprehensive reply. Looks like it is down to the banks and the tech their end!
Hello Mwelby,
Let us know if you have any other issues with this, we will be more than happy to assisted you. Have a wonderful weekend.
I noticed this over this last weeked from a Halifax current account. The balance was up to date, but 2 days of transactions were missing.
Hello Digilocker, Thanks for getting in touch on the Community! Where the transactions that were missing from a weekend period? If so can we ask you to check the banking section in 24 hours and they should show up? If that is not the case what is the date range you're missing?
