To enable us to track the credit balances of your customers, we can create a credit memo. This way, you’ll have the option to run a transaction list by customer report and keep track of their available credits.
Here's how you can create a credit memo:
- Go to the Customers menu and select Create Credit memos/Refunds.
- Choose the customer from the Customer:Job dropdown.
- Enter the items that you’re giving a credit.
- Select Save and Close.
To track the credit, let’s run a transaction list by customer report. Here’s how:
- Go to the Reports menu.
- Click Go to report or simply click the magnifying glass and enter Transaction List by Customer.
- If you only want to filter for one customer, click Customize.
- Filter the Dates to the dates you want to show on the Report period.
- Click Filter then select Customer.
- Select the customer you want to filter.
- Click Run report.
