You're in the right place, Liza.

When you import an invoice, it's normal for QuickBooks Online (QBO) to round the amount by 10p since QBO is designed to work like this.

With this, if you want to intact the correct amount, I recommend using a third-party app in importing CSV files to avoid changes and rounding of amounts.

You might have more questions about errors in importing transactions using CSV, you can read this article: Common errors for importing bank transactions using CSV.

If you want to learn how to get transactions from your bank or credit card and manually import them, feel free to read this article: Manually upload transactions in QuickBooks Online.

Thanks for the reply, what format should I be using to try and avoid this happening?  Currency, general, number?  Wonder if there are any other ways round it as it is causing lots of problems with matching up our payments made vs invoices imported?  Thanks

Hello Liza-careandcomp, thanks for coming back to us, there is no way to stop the rounding from happening in QuickBooks, what you would need to do is just use the resolve the difference option so that you can match them all up.

Yes, liza-careandcomp. I would love to share with you the steps to accomplish the task.

The Resolve difference feature can help fix the rounding of amounts. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Banking menu, and then choose the For Review tab.
  2. Locate transactions, then select the Find match button to open the Match transactions window.
  3. Look for and select the invoice payments to match. You can also use the filters to narrow down your search.
  4. Scroll to the bottom of the table and click the Resolve Difference button.
  5. Enter the amount difference in the Add resolving transactions section.
  6. Click Save.

After fixing the issue, feel free to read this article. It contains guidelines about reconciling and resolving reconciliation problems: Learn the reconcile workflow in QuickBooks.

I'll be right here to keep helping if you have other concerns while doing tasks to your account.
