Where are refund receipts in the mobile app?? Can't create nor edit existing receipts? If yes thats a severe limitation.

Currently, the option to create, view, and edit refund receipts is unavailable using the QuickBooks Online (QBO) app, justtall. Therefore, I'd recommend logging into your account via a web browser to complete this task. I'll guide you throughout the process.

To issue a refund for an item or service using a Refund receipt via a web browser, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the + New button.
  2. Select Refund receipt.
  3. Choose the customer you want to refund in the Customer dropdown.
  4. Click the Refund From dropdown, then select the bank you deposited the payment for the invoice (or a sales receipt).
  5. Add all products or services the customer returned in the Product/Service column.
  6. Fill in the Service Date, Qty, Rate, Amount, VAT, and other fields accordingly.
  7. Select Save and close.

For further information on processing a refund for your customers, please see this article: Record a customer refund in QuickBooks Online.

On the other hand, I can see how advantageous it is to enter and access refund receipts using the QBO app. With this, I'd encourage you to send this suggestion to our product engineers so they can consider adding this in future updates.

Moreover, once your refund transaction is downloaded to your account, you can easily categorise it from your iOS or Android device. For more information and step-by-step guidance, check out this article: Categorise bank transactions in the QuickBooks Online app.

For additional concerns about refund receipts, let us know by replying to this thread. We'll be willing to lend a hand. Keep safe, and have a good one.
