Currently, the option to create, view, and edit refund receipts is unavailable using the QuickBooks Online (QBO) app, justtall. Therefore, I'd recommend logging into your account via a web browser to complete this task. I'll guide you throughout the process.
To issue a refund for an item or service using a Refund receipt via a web browser, follow these steps:
- Go to the + New button.
- Select Refund receipt.
- Choose the customer you want to refund in the Customer dropdown.
- Click the Refund From dropdown, then select the bank you deposited the payment for the invoice (or a sales receipt).
- Add all products or services the customer returned in the Product/Service column.
- Fill in the Service Date, Qty, Rate, Amount, VAT, and other fields accordingly.
- Select Save and close.
