Hello there, @dchelectrical.
Getting your bank transactions updated is my priority. May I ask for the name of the bank that is not updating? This is for me to further check on the root cause why it's not updating.
Here are the possible reasons why you're unable to receive updates in your transactions lists.
Let's manually update your bank transactions. Here's how:
1. Log in to your bank’s website outside QuickBooks.
2. Review your posted transactions and check for any connectivity error notifications.
3. Once completed, log in to your QuickBooks Online account.
4. Let’s perform a manual update on your connected bank account.
a. Go to the Banking menu.
b. Choose the Banking tab.
c. Select your bank account.
d. If you have an existing standard connection, you will see a Future-proof your connection reminder.
e. Click Get direct bank feeds.
f. Enter your Account Name, BSB, Account Number.
g. If prompted, enter your Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) credentials.
h. Click Continue update.
Also, I have here some articles to help you with managing your downloaded bank transactions:

Let's get your bank feeds working again in your QuickBooks Online (QBO) mobile app, @dchelectrical.
The mobile app's outdated data is likely the cause of the unresponsive page or missing banking entries. You can clear the app's internet files to sweep out the corrupted cache and refresh it.
For Android devices:
For iOS devices:
If the issue persists, you can uninstall and then reinstall the app to refresh its setup.
For now, you'll want to access the banking feeds using a web browser. After resolving the said issue, you can begin categorizing and matching your transactions to keep your records accurate.
I'm still around to back you up with any banking issues you might raise. I'll keep a close eye on your reply. Have a good one!
Thank you for your reply but both options I’m afraid have not worked.
I discovered when reinstalling the app I use the accounting version as it is now just so it is known.
the bank accounts are on my dashboard but the hyperlink don’t work to allow me to refresh and view transactions, I just remain on the home page.
I do appreciate performing the steps provided by colleagues, dchelectrical.
I'd like to route you to the right support that will help you further investigate what's causing the unresponsive shortcut links in the dashboard. You can click this link: https://help.quickbooks.intuit.com/en_GB/contact.

Keep me posted if there is anything ls that you need help with. Take care and have a good one!
I have tried the things the other QuickBooks staff have suggested but they have not worked. I am using the mobile app via a iPhone. It use to update the banking no problem it longer does. Is this because this feature is no longer possible via the mobile app or is there another issue.
Thanks for getting back to us on this thread,
It's still possible to update banks within the app, if able could you please changing network type i.e from Wi-Fi to 4G or vice versa to see if this is causing an issue?
If this does not fix please get back to us below with the app version (you can check this within the app settings and app store) and a screenshot from the app when you try to update this, covering any sensitive info. If you'd prefer, you can also send this via private message to our team on Facebook or Twitter (@ QuickBooksUK) and we'll pick this up with you there.
