Hi there, manny-hussain.
Sales or expenses should be entered in QuickBooks Online (QBO), so that the system will generate a VAT return form for MTD and submit it to HMRC.
As a workaround, you can use our bridging solution feature that will help import the final values (9 boxes) of the VAT return from a CSV file into QBO. From there, it can be submitted to HMRC via MTD.
See the QuickBooks MTD bridging solution - FAQ article for more information.

Thank you so much for your answer Jane. We have not yet entered all the date across into QB so this advice will help greatly. Will have a look at that bridging option. Cheers.
