Hello Community Users! Just wanted to pop in and add an update to this thread. In the case where you are looking to unfile a VAT return you can now now unfile a return in Quickbooks however you do need to have a certain user status and fit the criteria to unfile. We've included an article here with more information on how to unfile
If it is a payroll filing you wish to retract/ amend as the tax is incorrect it would be a case of rolling the payroll back making the changes and then submitting an FPS with the correction to previous filing as the reason. More info on that can be found found here for Advanced Payroll and here for Standard Payroll

If you are referring to a Payroll submission, you can consider rolling your payroll back to the period where you'll be able to run the payroll again and submit a corrected tax submission to HMRC. This way, it would correct the figures they have on their system. We'd just need to know which Payroll you are using and we can direct with how to do this and then how to make HMRC aware of the correction to the filing.
