Thank you for reaching out to the Community about setting up your VAT, Hibbo.
I’m here to help ensure you can set the VAT period in QuickBooks smoothly. Let’s run some basic troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue.
When opening your company, use the incognito mode or a private browser. These type of browsing sessions don’t store data and allows the online program runs a lot smoother. Follow the steps below to bring up one:
Once signed in, set up your VAT and select the period start month. If the months show up from the drop-down, switch back to your regular browser to clear the cache.
When you visit a website, the browser stores information, files, downloads, etc. The stacked data can cause some display or access problems. Clearing it helps applications run better on your computer.
If the issue persists, utilize a supported browser when accessing QuickBooks Online (QBO). Performing this one will test if the one you previously used is the issue.
I’m adding a resource that will guide you on how to: Set up and edit VAT settings, codes, and rates. From there, you’ll see the links for each VAT related-processes. Click the link to view the detailed instructions.
