Can I split VAT by class &/or location

Hello there, @Lisap1312.

Let me share some information on how QuickBooks handles filling of your VAT return for different companies.

You can use 1 QuickBooks account to file VAT returns for 1 business entity or company. That being said, the ability to customize your VAT report to show data for each company is currently not available. You'd to make sure to have separate subscriptions for each company. The good news here is that you can put all the account under one login credentials.

Here's how:

  1. Go to https://quickbooks.intuit.com/uk/.
  2. Choose a version of QuickBooks.
  3. On the signup page, select Sign in.
  4. Enter your login information and follow the on-screen prompts to set up the second company.
  5. Log-in to your account: http://qbo.intuit.com. You will have the option to select your companies.

Once you have created all the companies, you can easily access it . Simple click the Gear icon at the top to Switch Company. For more information, you can refer to these articles:

Can I split VAT by class &/or location

Hello Lisap1312, Do you mean in terms of viewing VAT by class or location in terms of the VAT 100 or VAT detail reports or finding a report that would show both? Or are you referring to the transactions themselves?

Can I split VAT by class &/or location

Hello Emma

Its transactions

I have a client who’s a property developer. Classes & locations would work brilliantly for reporting as invoices are received & paid from different bank accounts. Different projects are different company’s so each have to file VAT. Could I run a repost to show  VAT for each one? Just trying to make like easier
