I made a VAT Adjustment but accidentally selected the wrong tax rate... ('VAT on Purchase 15.0%' - where did that come from? It's not even listed under VAT rates)
Can I delete this adjusment so it can be corrected?
I've not yet filed the VAT return so I thought I could delete it, following the instructions at https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-ie/run-reports/create-or-delete-a-vat-adjustment/01/7...
But the system says "This VAT filing transaction was created by the system and can't be edited" and won't let me delete it.

Thanks - I did manage to delete it in the end.
I was going through from the account history, selecting the transaction and then selecting the Delete button that comes up on the bottom right row of Delete/Edit/Cancel/Save. That gave the error message.
What I eventually did was select Edit rather than Delete, got the adjustment up on the screen and then pressed Delete at the bottom of that screen. That worked!
Hi richard96, thanks for your post
If the VAT adjustment was recorded manually then you can delete this following the steps on the guide above, are you certain you're selecting the correct adjustment?
You can check this by going to Taxes > Prepare return > Click into the box total that this was posted against > Click onto the adjustment listed > Delete.
Thanks!
