Can I clarify where the exclamation mark is appearing, and if you see a button for 'Take action' on the Taxes screen?
Hi, I too am having this issue. We are MTD enabled but am unable to go any further in submitting our return! Time is running out to do this, has to be submitted by the end of May. Starting to get anxious now, can anyone give any answers to this. I have little faith in QBO support due to big issues with payroll that are still not resolved... Any suggestions from actual QBO users would be appreciated. Thank you in advance
Hello Daisy35 :waving_hand:, In order for me to get a better understanding as to what the exclamation mark means, Could you click in to take action for me on the Taxes page, This will show why the return is not submitting and I can look further into this for you and advise what action is needed. Have clicked on it and takes me to a page "Enable Making Tax Digital" "Lets authorise Quickbooks etc". I have gone through the lets go process twice but am still no further forward. We have migrated from QBD to which we were MTD compliant. It is possibly a migrating issue as we have experienced quite a few issue on other parts ie payroll
Thanks, Daisy35, Can you check in the settings that MTD is enabled for me, please? Go to the gear icon top right>company settings>advanced>Mtd ensure its switched on and if you can check on the taxes screen too, Txes>edit vat>edit settings. Let me know if its showing as MTD enabled in both sections, Thanks Becky

Can we ask could you either ring into our helpline and speak to one of our agents about this issue you are having on 0808 234 5337 or PM us on Facebook or DM us on Twitter by searching Quickbooks UK, so we can have a look into the background for you to see why it will not let you submit the return. If you are contacting us via Facebook or Twitter could you provide us with your email address and your vat registration number so we can check a few things in our system for you? Thanks
