I'm here to ensure that your effective date for the new scheme is updated and correct, usercengamat.

Good job for performing the troubleshooting steps provided by my colleague. In addition, you can try editing one of the VAT settings and then save it. After that, you'll have the option to update the Effective date for new scheme. I'll show you how:

  1. Go to the Taxes menu and select VAT.
  2. At the upper-right, click Edit VAT.
  3. Select Edit settings
  4. You can check/uncheck the Flat Rate Scheme (FRS). Then, Save.
  5. Repeat steps 1 to 3 and check the FRS option. Then, update the Effective date for new scheme.
  6. Click Save

If the same thing happens, I'd recommend getting in touch with us so our Phone Support Team. They have resources such as screen sharing that will help them further look into your VAT settings. You can also use this link to contact us

Feel free to mention me in your reply if you need more help. Take care and have a great day!

This can be caused by the piled-up cache in your regular browser, @usercengamat.

Let’s isolate this issue by clearing your browser’s cache. Try using a private browser when updating the effective date.

If it works, proceed and clear the cache in the one that you're currently using.

Here’s how to go incognito or use a private browser:

  • For Chrome, press Ctrl + Shift + N.
  • For Firefox, press Ctrl + Shift + P.
  • For Safari, hold down Command + Shift + N.

If it works, here's how to clear cache and cookies to fix issues when using QuickBooks Online. If not, try using other supported browsers.

Let me know if there's anything that you need. I’ll get back to you as soon as possible to assist you further.
