Trying to submit a VAT return as i have in past, when i select "taxes" tab i get nothing, no options, screen doesn't change Frustrating as i only use it because of MTD!

Hi @Anthony Day.

 

There are times that the browser keeps either too many or outdated Internet files that may cause websites, like QuickBooks Online, to act weirdly. To isolate this, let's try logging into your QuickBooks account using a private browser.

 

You can use the following shortcut keys:

 

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N.
  • Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl + Shift + P.
  • Internet Explorer: press Ctrl + Shift + P.
  • Safari: press Command + Shift + N.

If the button shows up, then I recommend clearing the cache of your regular browser. This helps resolve common issues in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

 

Otherwise, you can use a different browser.

We're looking into the root cause why you're unable to submit the VAT return, duncan3. 

 

Our engineers are investigation and are looking for a permanent fix to this issue. I'd recommend contacting our Phone Support Team so we'll add your account to the notification list. Updates and a resolution will be sent via email. 

 

Here's how to contact us:

  1. Got to the Help ( ? ) icon at the upper-right. 
  2. Click Contact us
  3. Enter your concern that you're unable to see any option in the VAT taxes page. 
  4. Click Let's talk and choose to either Chat or Get a callback.

What happens when you can't access the help button - when I press this I get nothing - just an empty table.  I too have nothing in the Tax tab either and need to be able to submit my VAT return - have done this before so am at a loss to know why I can't do this and no access to help either??? Very frustrating
