Hi Marta80, thanks for joining the QB Community - exceptions are automatically generated on QuickBooks and will show on the current open return. Exceptions are generated when transactions which are dated prior to the end date of the most recent filed period in QuickBooks are added with a VAT code, or when a existing transaction from a filed period is edited (e.g. to remove, add, or change a VAT code). :)
