Will Quickbooks be adding a function to Self Employed for uploading to HMRC when it becomes mandatory next tax year? I see no facility for this yet. Thanks

There is no specific timeframe for when QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) will implement or add the feature to upload your data to HMRC, Crafty1965.

Currently, handling and submitting returns to HMRC is available only in the QB Online version. For this reason, you can consider upgrading your plan to initiate this task.

You can also seek assistance from an accounting professional regarding this matter. They can provide further alternatives or insights on how you can effectively be compliant with the mandatory policy that the HRMC requires.

I'm also attaching an article that you utilize once you upgrade your plan to achieve your goal: Set up MTD (Making Tax Digital) for VAT in QuickBooks Online. It can help you get started with your MTD and submit your VAT returns to HMRC.
