Can I convert a qb 2013 pro company file to Mac in order to trial Mac desktop 2019?

I don’t believe you can with the UK version.

Using Mac desktop, can I connect to/set up bank feeds from UK banks? The sample file in the Mac desktop trial only lists US ones?

If your bank shows as an option in the dropdown list when setting up online banking then yes, if not then the bank does not support QB Mac.

The Mac desktop trial crashes when I open a sample file and then try to set up online banking. This is why I cannot tell what FI's are listed. And I don't want to purchase the product without knowing whether I can web connect to my FI's.

The Mac online trial connects to them easily  but I would like to go with the desktop product!

Try restarting your Mac in safe mode and relaunch QB. If the trial version won't run for you neither will the purchased product.

Starting in safe mode (thank you!) has enabled me to see the FI's -  which are all in the US.

I wish to know to which UK institutions I can web connect using Desktop Mac software.
