I only want to work with 2019, how do I stop 2018 coming up all the time. I would be happy to delete them completely from my QB.

Hello there, Leisl1.

You have 2 options to start fresh:

  • Delete manually the 2018 transactions
  • Start a new account

If you'll go with deleting the transactions, you'll have to open them one by one, then delete.

First, let's pull up all transactions on those dates. Here's how:

  1. Click the Magnifying glass icon, then choose Advanced Search.
  2. Click the Search drop-down arrow, then choose All Transactions.
  3. Click Add filter.
  4. Click the Date Filter drop-down arrow, enter the dates, then click Apply.

Next, let's open the transaction and delete it. Here's how:

  1. Click to open the transaction.
  2. Click More, then choose Delete.
  3. You'll receive the message, "Are you sure you want to delete this?", click Yes.

However, if you want to start a new account, you'll have to cancel the old subscription, then purchase a new one. Once done, you can export reports, lists, and etc. from the old account, and import it to the new one. Just click the Gear icon, then choose Import Data. Then, manually enter the transactions.
