Hi there, @michael-hards.
I'm here to ensure that you'll be able to add a new team member on your QuickBooks.
May I know what specific internal error message did you received? Any further details are much appreciated so we can get this issue sorted out.
For now, you can try accessing your QuickBooks using a private browser. This is to check if the issue has something to do with your browsers' cache. The cache is stored for increased loading performance, but too much can accumulate and bog down processes.
Here are different keyboard shortcuts to open a private browser:
- Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N
- Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl + Shift + P
- Internet Explorer: press Ctrl + Shift + P
- Safari: press Command + Shift + N
If it works fine, you can go back to your regular browser and clear its cache. Please follow the outlined steps in this article depending on the browser you're using: How do I clear my browser cache and temporary Internet files?
Also, here are some good articles that you can read through about adding an employee or user in QuickBooks Online:
If doing this doesn't make a difference, I'd suggest reaching out to our Customer Care Team. This way they'll be able to investigate what's causing the issue.
Please feel free to let me know how it goes or if you have any questions. I'll be keeping an eye out for the response on this. Have a good one!
