Hi there, RavT.

We are updating our bank feeds to comply with the new Open Banking regulations. As a result, your bank connection in QuickBooks will need to be updated to our new Open Banking connection.

A banner will be displayed in the QuickBooks Banking page when your bank account is ready to be updated.

Entering codes is another level of security added to the password and username combo. Some banks provide connection to QuickBooks per account type. The types may have different level of security, and not all of them are available for online banking. This depends on what your bank provides.

I suggest contacting your bank. This way, you can confirm from theme if they have no system maintenance or the code isn't expired. Also, they can verify if there's another option to remove this prompt when updating transactions on your account. Then, enter the right information outlined below when connecting your bank:

  • Use the same login credentials that you use to access the bank account itself.

  • Confirm your security answers with your bank and make sure to input them properly.

  • For some banks, the questions and answers need to be in the exact same order as they're listed on your bank's website.

  • Check on your bank's website if you're using the correct sign-in information. Once verified, re-enter it in QBSE. It might also help to use the minimum character limit allowed by your bank.

Please check this article on how to edit transaction you already reviewed: Categorise and edit transactions in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

Keep me posted if you have other concerns. I'm always here to help.
