Hello Patrick84, im not sure why they have said about the payroll, however if you have a look at the article they sent to you, it shows all the different levels of access your employees would have. So if you set the employee up as a PA/CA ( Primary admin/Company Admin) and regular (standard) user they can see the dashboard. If you set them up as ideally, regular (standard) users who are limited to customers/suppliers arenβt able to view the dashboard also reports only and time tracking arenβt able to see the dashboard information as well.
