Recording Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) payments in QuickBooks Online is easy peasy. I'd be happy to guide you through the process.
- Sign in to your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account.
- Click the + New button, then select Expense.
- If you have created a supplier for HMRC, enter the name in the supplier field.
- Select the bank account from which you have paid HMRC and the payment method.
- Choose the date the payment was made on.
- Under the Category column, select the CIS Payments to HMRC account.
- Enter the amount, then click Save and close.
