Quickbooks is like any other crony ogopolistic capitalist company: it cares only about the sale and nothing else.
Hi there, @Km39.
Let me help you identify and stop a fraudulent transaction and direct you to the best possible help.
Before anything else, we'd like to know what kind of fraudulent transaction happened to your account.
You can check out our online security tips to help you keep your information safe. Also, we have our security notices for details of suspicious emails reported by other Intuit customers.
If you think it's a fake email, it comes in different forms, but we often find it pretty convincing. Here are some of the things to look for:
If you suspect you have received a phishing email targeting the Intuit brand, go to the Intuit Online Security Centre and select Go to security notices for further information.
You can read this article for additional info: Identify suspicious activity, phishing scams, and potential fraud.
On top of that, I recommend contacting QuickBooks Online (QBO) support to further help you on how to stop this immediately if it's confirmed as a fraud transaction.
You might want to learn how to download personal data from your Intuit account safely. Check out this article: Access and manage your personal data from your Intuit Account.
For additional questions about managing your account to keep it safe, let me know by replying to this post. I'll be willing to help. Keep safe always.
it was not a fraudulent email from QuickBooks. A fraudulent event occurred and I have no one to contact to stop a transaction that I accidentally entered. I received an external email from someone fainting to be an employee and have paid them through into it. I had no one to contact to stop the payment and it has already gone through.
Sorry, dictated - feigning to be an employee. Now, we have to figure out a way to cut a check to our employee without having her double taxed, and then see if we can retrieve our money from the green dot account to which the fraudulent payment was sent.
I appreciate the prompt response, @Km39. Let me route you to the available support that can help you with the payment.
If you're using QuickBooks Checking and want to retrieve the payment from Green Dot, I suggest reaching out to our Payments Support Team. They will provide you with assistance in guiding the process of retrieving the funds. To reach out to them, click this link: QuickBooks Payments Support.
However, if you pay your employees through QuickBooks Payroll, I'd recommend reaching out to our Payroll Support Team for assistance. They can provide instructions on how to correctly process the payment to avoid any tax duplication. Please refer to this article for guidance on how to get in touch with them: Contact Payroll Support.
I've added the following articles for more details about using QuickBooks Checking and how to check out the list of reports available in your payroll product:
Let me know how else I can help you with payroll tasks or retrieving payments in QuickBooks. I'm always here to lend a hand. Stay safe.
I would like to content Quickbooks Online Payroll Support via EMAIL, or a postal address.
I do not want to "chat" any further and I do not want any more phone calls, in which I receive wrong and useless information. I want to send you a very clear and concise summary of the issue in writing, that you can ponder and think about and research as you see fit, and I want a clear and concise response, IN WRITING.
What is the email address, or the US Postal address, where I can do this?
Thank you.
Hello there, jdq-qb2.
I want to ensure you receive the best support possible for your QuickBooks Online Payroll inquiries.
There isn't a direct email option available to reach out to our QuickBooks Online support.
If you require assistance, please be aware that our Chat and phone support channels are the only available options. You can review this article to ensure the availability of our payroll support: Contact Payroll Support.
The Community is always here if you have other concerns.
I am tired of trying to contact tech support via chat, nothing is ever resolved and I am stuck on hold with a support "expert" for over an hour usually. My issues always have to be sent to a more advanced tech person.
It would save people time if they could email their issues. If 1st level support knows the fix, they could contact the customer. Or, they could forward the issue to a more advanced tech person. Quickbooks needs to stop wasting their customers time with very poor tech support. We need another option. We pay for Quickbooks, pay for the support. Now when there is a problem, I don't call anyone. If I can't fix it myself, I just live with the problem. This is very bad, if it were up to me I would drop Quickbooks and find another program.

Any specific technical issue?
Is your company located in the US? This is Global Community, not US Community.
Do you have QB Desktop US version or QB Online US version?
Report; Purchases; Open Purchase Orders - when you chose this report it shows all P.O.'s even the ones that I have closed. This would make it easier to just see the open ones. I assume it is supposed to work this way, since they give you the option of 'Open Purchase Orders'.
Here is one of many...
Hi, @150622445 and @shannonbdesignerstouchflooring.
@150622445, let me help you with your concern about signing up for a direct deposit in the QuickBooks mobile app.
Can I ask if you're referring to mobile checks deposit sign-up for QuickBooks Checking in the US? If so, QuickBooks Money is a standalone Intuit offering that includes QuickBooks Payments and QuickBooks Checking. I'd recommend signing up for QuickBooks Payments through your web browser to use mobile check deposits. Please know that this is subject to eligibility criteria, credit, and application approval. For more information about the eligibility criteria, kindly refer to this article: Find out more about mobile check deposit.
On the other hand, if you're referring to direct deposit for your employees in the US, let me add this article as a guide for the setup using your web browser: Set up direct deposit for employees.
Regarding your concern about the mobile app not working as expected, sometimes the internet connection and stored data interfere with the app's performance. Here are some quick steps to fix most app-related issues:
When this is resolved, let me add this reference in managing your QuickBooks Checking account: Use your QuickBooks Checking account.
@shannonbdesignerstouchflooring, I'm here to help with one of your concerns about running the Open Purchase Order List by Vendor in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
Normally, the Open Purchase Order List report only includes open purchase orders. To resolve the closed purchase orders appearing on the report, I suggest accessing your account through your browser's incognito mode, running the report, and checking if the closed purchase orders still appear. This is to isolate the cause of the issue since stored data can interfere with what's displayed on the web page.
If the same problem occurs, I encourage clicking on Switch to classic view if you're on the modern view of the report and clicking on the amount to check for the last time if the purchase order is closed. I've attached screenshots for visual reference:
For future reference, I'm adding this guide for exporting your reports from QBO to Excel: Export your reports to Excel from QuickBooks Online.
Keep us posted by replying to this thread or starting a new one if you have any updates to your concern with the QuickBooks Checking sign-up process or if the problem about the Open Purchase Order by Vendor List report persists. Take care.
Please I need to enter the nonemployee compensation of a vendor
I have a way how you can record the non-employee compensation of a vendor, Ada.
You can write a cheque. This keeps your expenses and accounts up-to-date and keeps your current record organised. At the same time make all your business transactions accounted for.
To create a cheque, you can follow the steps outlined below:
Moreover, QuickBooks provides dozens of reports that cater to your business needs. You'll only have to customise them to ensure you get the right data you need most. To know more, go through this article for more details: Customise Reports In QuickBooks Online.
Drop a comment below if you have any other questions about non-employee compensation for your vendor. We'd be glad to help.

Hi, @Gorot.
We'd love to help you achieve your goal, but I just need some more information to help me get on the same page. Would you mind telling me more about it? Like, what specific issue do you have? This way, I can provide you with an accurate resolution.
I appreciate any details you can provide. I’m looking forward to your reply. Have a great rest of the day.
Are these Intuit "employees" even reading the problem? They over and over and over again tell you to use the chat function that the person has CLEARLY said doesn't work.
The GoPayment app hasn't been working since Tuesday 6/4; therefore I am not able to process credit card transactions through the app or the quickbooks card reader. I have contacted support who wasn't helpful, and said they would call me back - I haven't heard from them since Thursday. They tell me that there is an issue with the GoPayment app. I have had to process transactions manually and am possibly being charged higher fees since I need to key in transactions instead of swiping a credit card. I would like to be refunded the amount over and above the credit card swipe fee. Support has been terrible as they didn't understand the issue even if I told them that the app is on my ipad and was getting an error code. They thought it was a browser problem! I was on the call an hour and 40 minutes with the so called 'expert'. I asked to have the issue escalated but the level 2 person was not available till the net day. She told me they would call me back at a certain time, but they did not call back. I called them the next day and they told me it was a known issue and to wait for someone to call me back. I am still waiting!
I wish you didn't have to encounter this issue, @Bensonix. Don't worry. I'll put you in touch with our best help available to assist you with your refund concerns in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
Since the Community is a public forum, we're unable to pull up your account securely. That said, we recommend reaching out to our customer support team. While we're aware you've already reached out to them regarding your GoPayment app, it's best to get in touch again since they have the necessary tools to address your refund issues.
To do that:
When the money flows into your QBO account, match the payment to an invoice to ensure accurate bookkeeping.
Keep in touch if there's anything we can help with about the GoPayment app in QBO. We're here to assist you always. Take care.
