Update your QuickBooks Time account

QuickBooks Time (formerly TSheets) is part of a suite of products under the company Intuit. Everyone who uses an Intuit product needs an Intuit Account. QuickBooks Time users will be updating their sign-ins to either an existing Intuit account or a new one.

Note: All users, except those that only use the Kiosk, will be required to update.

  • All users will be required to have either an email or mobile phone number associated with their account. Adding one before the update will make it easier for you.
  • Make sure you and your team members know your current QuickBooks Time password. After your sign-in has been updated, admins will no longer be able to reset passwords for employees.
  • Users can reset their current passwords now to meet the new requirements. It’ll make the update much easier.

Anyone who uses an Intuit product is required to have an Intuit Account. Kiosk-only users are the exception.

Don’t worry—none of your sensitive information will be shared between accounts, unless you set up a connection between QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Time.

For example, if you use QuickBooks Online and you have not connected it to QuickBooks Time, you can use the same Intuit Account to sign in to both products, but no information from QuickBooks Online will be connected with QuickBooks Time.

Your password will need to be 8 or more characters and must have at least two of the following:

  • Uppercase letter
  • Lowercase letter
  • Number
  • Symbol

Intuit Accounts require an email or mobile phone number. These help you get into your account quickly and are required for recovering your account.
