I have both QuickBooks Online and GoCardless accounts and I would like to test the end-to-end integration without impacting my live accounts. I have already setup my GoCardless Sandbox account and I understand that QuickBooks uses a test drive QuickBooks instance (https://qbo.intuit.com/redir/testdrive_uk) for testing purposes.
But how do integrate the two so that I can test end-to-end?
As far as I can see, there is no way to access 3rd party apps using the test drive instance - Apps is missing from the left navigation pane and clicking Set up Direct Debit with GoCardless on the New Invoice page results in a 404 Page not found! error.
I just want to test QuickBooks and GoCardless end-to-end. Any and all help/advice appreciated.

Hi, tictag.
You can instead use a trial version of QuickBooks Online to integrate to a third party app. To get one, please check this article: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/uk/
If you’re still unable to integrate it with the trial version, I’d recommend getting in touch with the Intuit Developers. You can reach them by visiting their Community forum: https://www.developer.intuit.com/app/developer/homepage

OK, thank you, this makes sense. I could create a trial account to test these scenarios but it would be quite tedious have to do this every 30 days, including configuration, testing etc. Still, it's a workaround.
I will reach out to the developers because most cloud-based application platforms these have sandbox environments to enable end-to-end testing e.g. PayPal.
Thank you :)
For information, yes they do have sandbox environment, you just need to sign-up to be an Intuit Developer. The sandbox environment do appear to allow 3rd part app integration, which solves my problem :)
Hi, I appear to be having the exact same issue.
I am trying to test connections in Sandbox environments. I have both a QuickBooks as well as Go Cardless Sandbox environment set up, but I cannot seem to connect an App to the QuickBooks Sandbox as was suggested above that is was possible? On a live account you click 'My Apps' on the left navigation bar, but in the sandbox account once you click on this, the next button to 'Find an app' doesn't seem to do anything.
Hi Mikesavva,
We're unable to provide support on the Sandbox environment here, instead we'd be grateful if you could reach out to the Intuit Developers on the link below:
https://www.developer.intuit.com/app/developer/homepage
We hope they're able to help you solve this!
They are NOT able to support, there is no number and this forum IS on the developer site. I am not sure why this is proving so incredibly difficult to get assistance with. Please can you forward internally as I cannot see how to appropriately raise a ticket with the developer site. I am writing this from the developer login I have.
Hi Mikesavva
We are unable to raise a ticket with the developers, you will have to contact them on Twitter; @intuitdev
Mikesavva - did you find a solution to this? I am running into the same issue.
Greetings, @sierrafontaine.

Hi Guys,
I am using Sandbox to test integration with a 3rd party. But I also have access to some company under my firm that I am currently doing bookkeeping for. However, after sign in Intuit Developers and get the Sandbox, my company list is disappear. All I have now is the sandbox companies. I am panic. Please help!
Hello, lynnphtr1.
We've got you covered on the missing company. I have one more solution to help you get the complete company list.
If you're using a separate login where the company is associated with, you'll want to use the same credentials when logging in to the Developers website.
If you have the same login credentials, you'll want to contact our Intuit Developer support agents. You can create a support ticket to reach out to them.
Use this link to log in and proceed with the ticket creation.
Our Developers team have published a number of help articles to assist you in creating an app. You can check the resources in our Getting started page.
You can always visit our QuickBooks Community page if you have questions in managing your books. My colleagues and I will be here to help.
