Hi there, peterbooth.
You may be experiencing some browser-related issues. Let's run some steps to fix this matter.
To start with, log into your account on an incognito window. Incognito won't save your browsing history, which can result in unusual behavior.
You can use these keyboard keys to open one:
Also, you'll want to clear the cache and make sure you're using a supported and up-to-date browser. This can fix any browser-related issues.
I've also added this article as additional reference in reconnecting your bank account: Reconnect your bank account in QuickBooks Online.
I'm just around whenever you need help in managing bank accounts.
I know how to reconnect. I do it several times a week.
The question is
Why does this software keep disconnecting with TSB ?
This happens WEEKLY
Hello Peterbooth, when did this start happening? When you do the connections do you get any error messages or codes show up at all? How are you doing the connections is it via the web on a pc or laptop or is it on a phone and on the app?
This has happened for the last few months. Before that the same was happening to HSBC. I have used desktop and app, chrome, edge, opera and firefox. Wireless cable and mobile connections. Private and public browsers. TSB keeps the authorisation. Quickbooks cancels it every few days.
Thank you for the quick follow-up, peterbooth.
I understand how important the open banking feature is to your business, particularly in downloading your bank transactions to QuickBooks.
As of now, we haven't received reports from other users experiencing the same issue. In the meantime, we can open a private/incognito browser window by using the keyboard shortcuts given by my colleague @Adrian_A above.
If you can successfully reconnect, you can return to your regular browser window and clear its cache. This should get rid of any old or corrupted internet files that are causing your bank to disconnect every few days. Alternatively, you can use other supported browsers for the best experience.
If the issue persists, I recommend contacting our Support Team to investigate further and create a ticket if necessary.

Let me know if there’s anything else that I can help you with bank connection by leaving a comment below. I’d be glad to assist. Keep safe!
The bank has not cancelled the authorisation. Quickbooks will not connect.
I hjave cleared caches, tried private browser windows.
I have tried Internet explorer, Microsoft edge, Chrome, Opera and firefox. What browser would you recommend I try ?
I have tried desktop, mobile and laptop. Broadband, mobile and wifi.
TSB still has valid authorisations. This has not expired. Quickbooks has decided not to connect.
Let me chime in and help you resolve this, @peterbooth.
I know you’ve spent a lot of time and effort resolving this connection issue. To sort this out, I’d suggest checking your bank website to see if there are updates related to this or needs attention and system maintenance. Please know that QuickBooks is dependent on your bank when adding transactions and in terms of connectivity.
Here’s how:
If you find nothing, you can disconnect and reconnect the TSB bank. Before doing so, make sure all pending transactions in the For Review tab are already matched and categorized to prevent losing them. I’m glad to show you the steps:
Once connected, the program automatically downloads your recent transactions. If you see duplicate entries, see this exclude a bank transaction guide to get rid of them.
Moreover, here’s a reference that breakdown steps on how to get entries from your bank or credit cards and manually import them into QuickBooks: Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online. It also helps when you’re having connectivity issues and need to match transactions on time so you can immediately reconcile your account.

I have already done this several times. The account connects for a couple of days, then quickbooks reports
and I am back to square one.
