Excellent, another update. I've logged in and can see my Payroll subscription has changed. Pop up with a weird '?8' amount to be paid.

Needless, I accept. Then low and behold an error. No error code, just a pop up. And yes, Payroll is disabled. Wonderful. Anyone managed to resolve an issue like this?

Hello there, M for TF. I'm happy to redirect you to the right support available to look into this.

 

I'd recommend contacting our Payroll Support Team. One of our support specialists can verify your account in a private environment wherein we're unable to do here in the Community space as this is a public forum. They can determine the reason why you're having that prompt.

 

Here's how to contact them:

 

  1. Click on the Help icon at the top to open the QB Assistant window.
  2. Tap the Talk to a human menu and enter the issue.
  3. Next, click on the I still need a human button, and then select the Contact us link.
  4. For real-time assistance, choose the Start messaging or Get a Callback to speak with an agent.

You can get back to us if you have any other QuickBooks concerns.

I talked to a human.  Unfortunately the response was dire.

 

You (Quickbooks) have an issue that is causing this to happen and the engineers are 'working on it'.  I will get an email when (if) it is resolved.  But until then, payruns are not possible.  

 

This is no way to run a business.  How does QB expect anyone to do the wages when the payrun won't work.
