Im self employed and I recently started with the app so looking to set myself up. My first question is,
Can I not manually add my earnings? If so, I dont see the option for it, only to connect.
Secondly, im banking with Santander, am I meant to use the same login details to connect on there?
Thanks
Stefan
Thank you for getting in touch with the Community about your concerns related to adding your earnings and connecting your Santander account to QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE), stefanbest. I'm here to help everything go smoothly for you.
Yes, you can manually add transactions in QBSE and record them as income. For the specific category, we recommend contacting your accountant for further advice on which one to use. When you're ready, let's navigate to the Transactions screen to track the entries.
Here's how:
When connecting your Santander account to QBS, use the same login credentials you utilize for your online banking. This ensures that QuickBooks can securely access your transaction data from your bank. Thanks Rasa,
Regarding the bank connection, I followed your advice but it's not letting me connect. Just says the details are not correct and using the same details to log into my own Santander of course work.
I can see why you're experiencing difficulties with the bank connection, stefanbest0794. Let's take a closer look at the situation to identify the cause of the problem and find a solution that enables you to connect successfully.
First, let's ensure that the URL QuickBooks uses to connect with your bank is correct and the same as the one you use to log in to your bank website.
If you're able to sign in, it indicates that there is no major problem. Check your bank’s website for any messages, notifications, alerts, or announcements about new security requirements.
Otherwise, if you still can't sign in, we can proceed with the other troubleshooting steps such as clearing the browsers cache. See the links below for the steps on how to delete your browser's cache:
Once done, close and reopen your browser and connect bank and credit card accounts to QuickBooks.
If any new questions come to mind or you need further assistance about banking, just drop me a comment.
Might have found the issue. The Santander version that comes up is an American version. Whereas I am looking for the UK version of Santander.
Any more suggestions on how to connect? Did you get a chance to read my previous comment ? Thanks
