Cannot connect my Halifax account

I understand the importance of keeping your Halifax account linked with QuickBooks Online (QBO), christian.

Currently, we have an ongoing investigation into the connection between Halifax Bank and the QBO account. Rest assured that our engineers are doing their best to fix it as soon as possible.

I recommend contacting our Customer Care team so you'll be added to the list of affected users. This way, you'll receive email updates on the investigation's status and be notified once it's been resolved.

Here's how to reach them:

  1. Log in to your QBSE account.
  2. Click the Help icon.
  3. Select Contact Us.

In the meantime, we can import your transaction as a CSV file into your QBO company file. Here's how:

  1. Log in to your QBSE account, and go to the Profile icon.
  2. Select Imports.
  3. Click Import transactions.
  4. Follow the onscreen steps to upload the CSV file.
  5. Click Import.

Thank you for your patience and understanding while we look into this further. If you have any further concerns about bank account connectivity, feel free to reach out. Have a great day.

Cannot connect my Halifax account

Hi. Is there still a Halifax connectivity problem? I am new to QB and cannot get my Halifax account to connect. Very annoying and disappointing!  Please help.

Cannot connect my Halifax account

I got your point that it’s not easy for a business owner to have issues connecting a bank in QuickBooks Self-Employed, Vic2025. I want you to know that I’m here to help, and I’ll do everything I can to resolve this issue as quickly as possible.

I'd like to verify if you received an error upon connecting your bank in QBSE? For now, let's try clicking on Refresh All multiple times on your Banking page to refresh the connection between your financial institutions and QBSE. After that, please try connecting your bank account again.

If the same issue occurs, you can manually import your bank transactions using a CSV file. You can obtain this file from your bank's website. Let me show you how:

  1. Open QuickBooks Self-Employed on your computer.
  2. Go to the Gear icon then select Import transactions.
  3. Next to the account you want to bring transactions into, click on Import older transactions
  4. Select Browse and locate the CSV file you downloaded from your bank. Typically, it can be found in your downloads folder.
  5. Select the file and then Open it to start the import process.
  6. Check the column headers and data in the CSV file. Make sure the Date, Description, and Amount columns match the columns and order in QuickBooks. Other column headers can be in any order.
  7. Select Continue to complete the import.

Additionally, if you are using an app, you can try connecting your bank account through a web browser.

For more information, you can check out this article: Add older transactions to QuickBooks Self-Employed.

Moreover, you can categorise and edit the transactions you download from your bank or enter into QuickBooks.

I'll be here to ensure your success. You can always refer back to this post if you need assistance with creating bank rules or anything related to QBSE. I look forward to supporting you.
