I'm here to help you import your accounts, michaelhw.
We can import your Chart of Accounts using an Excel CSV file in QuickBooks Online. However, the program uses a double-entry system. Therefore, we'll have to use another account that'll help you balance the transactions.
To import the data, I'd recommend following these steps:
- Sign in to QuickBooks Online.
- Go to the Gear icon and then select Import Data.
- Select Chart of Accounts.
- To upload a file from your computer, select Browse and choose the file.
- Click Open, then Next.
- Once done, review the accounts to ensure everything is added accurately.

When tracking the transactions, we'll have to create a journal entry. If you're unsure what type of account to use to balance the debits and credits, I'd recommend consulting an accountant to help you out.
