Having the same issue, error 390, been like this over a week cant update balance and transactions.
Hi there, @antwon. It's our top priority to get your bank transactions updated.
Error 390 often occurs when there are changes or updates made by your bank to its connection process. I recommend signing in to your bank's website. Then, check if there are any alerts or notifications that may block QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) from downloading new transactions.
Once reviewed, you can manually update your bank account by clicking the Refresh all button. It helps re-establish the connection between your bank and QBSE.
Here's how:
If the issue persists, I suggest reaching out to our Customer Care Support team. This way, they can further investigate this issue and raise a ticket, if necessary. In the meantime, you can download an updated list of your transactions from your bank's website and upload them to QBSE using a CSV file.
Be sure to keep in touch if you need more help with managing your bank feeds. We want to ensure this matter gets resolved. Have a good one.
Yes mines been off for over a week. It righted itself a few weeks ago, but this time it’s not. I’ve been on the Santander website and it says it doesn’t support Quickbooks or Quicken, yet it has Intuit as a linked account. I’ve also read somewhere that it’s going to take until November for quickbooks to get this sorted. So I’m not sure what rubbish (I used a stronger word it didn’t like) they are giving us on here, because they clearly know there is a problem. I don’t have time at the moment to spend hours on the phone to their technical support, especially when it’s clearly a problem between them and Santander, hence they no longer have the Santander Business account in their list of banks. I will be expecting a refund of my fees and looking elsewhere if this is not resolved soon.
I have same problem, been connected to Sanrtander Business Banking (UK) since 2019, why all of a sudden a problem. can't solve it with instructions. as the bank is not listed. Have sent in a request with URL as instructed. Come on QB sort it out.
Try Santander and cahoots, that’s what I was told to do when I got through to chat to someone on the computer as they said Santander business banking wasn’t on their system and it worked.
Hi I'm getting a smiliar problem - my transactions aren't updating. My Self Employed ap says 'Temporary Connectivitiy Issue - Nationwide Building Society - to up date your bank connection you will need to reconnect your account (390)'. I followed the instructions but it just duplicated the accounts and imported all the transactions as new and uncategorised. Not sure what to do.
This isn't the experience we want you to have when updating your Santander bank connection, Elaine. I'll ensure you get routed in the right direction of support to help you sort this out.
Upon checking, we've found out that there's an ongoing investigation that other users are also experiencing the same issue as yours. With that, you can contact our QuickBooks Self-Employed Support Team. They can add you to the list of affected users and notified once it's resolved.

Im quickbooks online.
App told me to delete santander and reconnect.
I've since lost a month's worth of transactions and won't reconnect even though santander authorised and quickbooks email says account connected.
Thinking of xero
So I had almost given up with Quickbooks, but after making a comment on one of their Facebook ads one of their social media chaps looked into the issue for me.
He said that I should try connecting to Santander and Cahoot again as Santander had done an update. I gave him the benefit of the doubt even though I’d tried this loads of times over the last couple of weeks. When all of a sudden the process had changed and I was able to reconnect after nearly 3 weeks of nothing. Everything is up to date much to my relief. So might be worth you trying that.
Having the same issue, was going to transfer my account to another bank if not resolved
Hello Tonychippy are you getting an error 390 for a Santander business banking UK account? Are you getting this when you are trying to reconnect the account?
I was, now I can get all the way to Santander and it allows me to link accounts, then when I am sent back to quick books it doesn’t do anything. So you think it’s all sorted and when you check your quick books account still not connected. Been trying using phone will give it ago on my main computer when I get home
Hi Tonychippy, no problem at all, please get back to us if you still have a problem connecting it up.
I've been getting the same thing for a week now!
I did manage to fix it by linking my account on my main computer and not on my phone, try that it should work:crossed_fingers:
