Add a new bank feed, update your existing bank feed
Update your HSBC Business account to Open Banking
If you see a banner to upgrade your connection, please follow these steps:
- Click Update now
- Confirm your connection by clicking Agree. This open up a new tab to HSBC’s online banking page
- On this page, follow the steps on your bank’s online banking page to authorise QuickBooks to connect to your bank account. Once you have completed the log in process, you will automatically be taken back to QuickBooks
- On the QuickBooks page, select the bank accounts you want to connect and the account will link to in QuickBooks
- Select Connect and follow the on-screen instructions
How to reconnect your HSBC Business Saving account and Credit Card
If you tried to upgrade your HSBC Business Savings account or Credit Card and these were not available on Open Banking, or you see the error 324 banner on the Banking screen, please follow these steps:
- Go to Banking from the left navigation bar
- Select the blue tile for the bank account
- Select the pencil icon to edit the account, then select Edit account info
- Select the Disconnect this account on save checkbox
- Select Save and close
Now reconnect your Savings Account or Credit Card
- Click Add account
- Search for HSBC
- Choose HSBC Bank (UK) - Business Banking - Other Accounts
- Click Continue and follow the on-screen instructions
How to add a new HSBC Business account
To add a new HSBC Business account, go to Banking from the left navigation bar
- Click Connect account on the landing page, or select Add account if you have already created an account
- Search for HSBC Bank and select one of the following:
- HSBC Bank (UK) - Business Banking - Current Accounts if you are connecting a Current account only
- HSBC Bank (UK) - Business Banking - Other Accounts if you are connecting a Savings Account or Credit Card
- Click Continue and follow the on-screen instructions
