Hello Sheila,

Can you try and get your client to disconnect and reconnect the account instead of doing the reconnect option.

Before they disconnect and reconnect make sure there is not transactions sitting in the for review section if there is we advise you match or add them first.

To disconnect the account click on banking click on the account so it is blue>top right will be a pencil icon>click the pencil>scroll downtick disconnect on save and close>save and close.

Then re-add the account> top right add account> search Barclay credit card> follow the steps and it will reconnect the bank account up.

Let us know if you still have issues after doing that.

Hello Officeorganisers,

Welcome to the Community page,

Do you know what the exact error message and code is that your client is getting on there Barclay credit card when trying to connect it in Quickbooks?

Hi there

There is no error message.  The client gets through to the bank, enters her details and gets a screen that says that the connection has been completed - see screenshot attached.

However, at that point there is no next or continue button to press.  This seems very odd so she has to shut the page down to get back into QB and the message to reset her connection is still there.

I have asked her to make sure that she is seeing all of the screen in her browser and she has checked that.

Is this working properly or is there a stage missing.

Thanks

Sheila Ashdown

Hello Sheila,

Thanks for the information, and the screenshot.

When your client closes this page down on the screenshot you sent to us already can you ask then if they could take another screenshot for us but this time of the banking page itself in Quickbooks and send it to you so you can send it to us, so we can see if there is any error codes or messages showing up there.

Attached is the screen shot after returning to QB.  It is exactly the same as when we started the procedure.

Also, I was with another client yesterday and went through the process twice with him to connect to a Barclays e-banking account and the same thing happens.  You get to a screen to say you are connected and then there doesn't seem to be any way back to QB other than to use the cross at the top RHS .  You get back to your banking page but the error message is still there.

You definitely have a problem with BARCLAYS!!!.

Any help would be appreciated.

Many thanks

I’m having same/ similar issue with Barclaycard Business… my Barclays’s Business banking accounts work fine. Barclaycard logs on and connects and then QB throws an error saying it can’t pull any transactions. Barclaycard logon shows multiple valid connections for QB and I get an email from QB each time saying I’ve successfully connected my Barclaycard, but it doesn’t show on my QB account? I’ve tried via the app and the web page and get same error.

Neil, I appreciate you participating in this discussion. I'll join the conversation and offer information regarding the missing bank transactions in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

I understand how this error affects your banking activities in QBO, Neil. It appears that QuickBooks and your bank's connection aren't functioning as expected. QuickBooks will try to retrieve bank transactions. However, if the bank is unable to respond, it will show this error.

Let's isolate this issue by manually download the transactions. Here's how:

  1. Go to Banking, and select Transactions.
  2. Click Bank transactions, then click Update.

If you still don't see the transactions, you can check around the Banking menu or review your account history.

Please visit this article to read the detailed processes and information: What to do if you can’t find downloaded transactions in QuickBooks Online.
