Setting up your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account further back than when you've started is easy, @caesar-nicholson. I'm here to show you how.
You can import your existing data (further back from 14th August 2020) in QBO. To do so, you'll have to prepare an Excel Spreadsheet or CSV file in the correct format so you can upload the following:
Then, whenever your files are ready (downloadable sample files are also available), you're all set to import them to QBO. Here's how:
Once imported (for online bank transactions), you'll have to review and match them to the existing entries in QuickBooks. This way, you can keep your accounts and financial data updated. For the step-by-step guide, you can refer to this article: Categorise online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online.
Also, QBO provides a variety of reports to give you a snapshot of the different aspects of your business. You can customise them to focus on the details that matter to you the most. Then, there are helpful articles to further guide you in managing your business's growth.
Let me know how it goes in the comments below. If you have other concerns about managing your QBO account data and transactions, I'll gladly help. Take care, and I wish you continued success, @caesar-nicholson.
You may also utilize an 3rd party tool to import other transaction types (e.g Receive payments, Bill payments).
