Hi simon-lewingtonp Thanks for reaching out to us here on the Community. Are you experiencing an issue when connecting the account via the app?
Hi John,
I'm using an HSBC Kinetic account which is different from a normal HSBC Business Account. I explained this to someone and said it will be available soon. I had a screen share with someone and they said it would be available in a few days much to my surprise.
Sure enough, the HSBC Kinetic option now appears in the list of available bank accounts to connect to. However, when I try to connect it, I get an error saying the Kinetic account doesn't support desktop browsers and the connection should be done using your smart phone and the app. Which I have done and still it says the same message, I'd be interest to hear from anyone that has managed to connect an HSBC Kinetic Account to QuickBooks. My accountant is wanting me to do it asap..
This is a fairly new account offered to HSBC business customers so it's in your interests to get this working as I'm sure more people are going to approach you with the same problem.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Simon Lewington

I appreciate your response and for trying out to connect QuickBooks to HSBC Kinetic, @simon-lewingtonp. I'll route you to the right support, and help you bring your transactions to QuickBooks Online.
Ideally, you’ll be able to link your bank account to QuickBooks Online using an android phone. Since you’re still having issues, I recommend contacting our Support Team. They can pull up your account and assist you further with this matter.
If you’re using the app, follow these steps:
If you’d like to reach them through your QuickBooks account on the browser, see this article: QuickBooks Online Support. Please take note of the support hours so we can address your concerns on time.
As a workaround, you’ll want to manually upload your transactions into the program. You can download the file from your bank and enter them in QuickBooks.
Once done, you can review and match them to avoid duplicate transactions. See this article for the detailed process: Categorise and match online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online.
I'll be here to share other details with you if you have more questions regarding linking your bank or any other banking concerns. Just add them to your reply and I’ll help you out.
Hi, just in case anyone else is reading this post, you can connect to a Kinetic account. We have this guide that will help you do that.
