My colleague RaymondJayO is using Firefox does he was asked where he wants to open the file with. The options after downloading the Download Trips button depend on the browser you're using.
I've added these screenshots for your visual reference.
Also, the download just shows a blank spreadsheet file with the mileage heading if there are no trips or transactions added on the date you've selected during the download.
Let me know if you have any other questions. I'm always here to help. Have a good day!
Hi chrislisle11
If you are the Master Admin of your account you should be able to download your CSV file by selecting mileage, from the menu on the right handside > select the relevant year > download > select the file.
Hi
Thanks but there is no option on Right hand side.
Hello there, @chrislisle11,
The steps provided by my peer above apply when you're downloading trips as a CSV file from the program. I've attached a screenshot below on how this process looks like in QuickBooks Online (QBO). Rest assured that I have an alternative method to bring in your mileage data to QBO.
Right now, there isn't an option to import the file from the Mileage menu on the right-hand side. As a workaround, I recommend manually adding the trips from there. Please use the spreadsheet as your reference before performing the steps below.
The screenshot below shows you the third to fourth steps. For more details, see the How to manually track your mileage section through this article: Mileage Overview.
Also, I'd suggest visiting this website: QBO UK Blog. You'll learn more about our product improvements in this link. Then, scroll down the page. That way, you can enter your Email address and click Subscribe in the Let's stay in touch section. It helps you get the latest tips, advice, and resources straight to your inbox to help your business succeed.
As always, you can go back to the Mileage menu. From there, you can edit and duplicate your trips (see the screenshot below). Doing so will help ensure your trips are up to date in QBO.
Please know that I'm here anytime you need further assistance. Keep safe always, @chrislisle11.
The download trips option just downloads a blank spreadsheet file with the mileage headings. Your screen shot looks like I could select a file but I don’t get the dialogue box or a choice of file on my system
