Is there a problem with QBO connecting with bank account to down load transactions?

Hello there, @dawn-tidmore.

I appreciate you for posting here in the Community. I can get this sorted out for you.

However, I need to know first the exact error message or what happens when you connect to the Lloyds bank. That way, I'll be able to check if there are any problem reported by other users similar to what you encounter on your end.

While waiting for further details, I suggest visiting the following resource which will guide you on how to fix bank errors, as well as moving to Open Banking:

Please know that I'm just a post away if you have any other questions. Have a great day ahead.

We'd want to make sure that we get this working so you can download your transactions, dawn-tidmore.

Can you tell us the name of the bank that's connected in your account? This is for me to check if we have an open case about for downloading banking transactions in the UK region.

In the meantime, let's follow some troubleshooting steps to check if a browser issue is preventing the transactions from downloading in QO. Here's how:

Use a private/incognito browsing session when updating your bank. Follow these keyboard shortcuts to start an incognito session:

  • Ctrl + Shift + N for Google Chrome
  • CTRL + SHIFT + P for Mozilla and Microsoft Edge.
  • Click File, then select New Private Window if you're using Safari

Once done, go back to the Banking section and click the Update button in the upper-right hand corner. Then, check if you can already see the recent transactions.

If you can, proceed to deleting your browsing history to clear out the cache or data that's causing the issue. Use this article as a guide: Clear cache and cookies to fix issues when using QuickBooks Online.

There's also an option to use a different browser. This is to further check if this is indeed caused by an issue in the current browser that you're using.

Hi there, @info1212

I've got your back in sorting out bank connection with Lloyds bank.

May I know what specific issue you're experiencing with your bank? Any additional information would be greatly appreciated.

If you're having difficulty with connecting Lloyds bank to QuickBooks Online (QBO), I recommend following the troubleshooting share by my colleague JenoP above.

However, if you encounter issues with downloading bank transactions, let's manually update your bank account. This way, it'll download all your bank transactions in QBO. Here's how:

  1. Click Banking from the left menu.
  2. Select the appropriate bank account.
  3. Hit the Update button.1.PNG
  4. If prompted, enter your Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) credentials and click Continue update.

You might want to check out this article to learn how to review bank transactions after you download them into QuickBooks Online: Categorise and match online bank transactions.

Please feel free to leave a comment below if you have additional questions with your banking feeds. I'll be around to provide further assistance. Have a good one.
