Have an On-going problem with what Quickbooks bank feed picks up and what it choices to ignore - for a couple of Months now it has decided to "Ignore" MOST but not all, Direct Debit payments to Google. It has "Ignored" a payment made to Spotify and the laugh is it has ignored the Payment to Quickbooks
The Common denominator is they are all Direct Debits - and the bank is Barclays.
I have raised this with Quickbooks on more than one occasion but they never come back with a solution and the LAST Insult was they closed they case because I hadn't replied - When I HAD replied informing them I was on Holiday and was unable to check
Hello Rich99,
Thank you for getting in touch with Community.
That isn't good that your bank keeps on missing some transactions when you are updating via QuickBooks Online. There are a couple of different things which you could give a try, although there is no way to ensure this will not happen again because we don't have direct connection to Online Banking at all times. The First thing you can try doing is Clearing your Cache and Cookies using this link, if this doesn't work you can always try using an alternative web browser or a private browsing window. following this if none of these options work in the banking section you should be able to see a pencil if you select this then choose 'Edit Sign in info' and enter your online banking details this should refresh the connection.
Please let me know if there is anything I can help with or if you still have issue after trying these steps.
I've tried all of what your suggested - There is a common trend to these - It is ALWAYS Google Transactions DD (But not all) and now it has started dropping the DD payable to Quickbooks - it's done this the last two Months - Adobe seems to be another one it doesn't like.
There is never ONE complete day where it drops everything - it's just the above on various days - One trend seems to be after a Weekend when there are normally 3 to 4 Google transactions with different dates which are processed on the following Monday (or Tuesday) after a Bank Holiday - these it ignores - I've spent a good few Hours today manually adding transactions it has missed - which rather defeats the quickbooks Bank link
Hi Rich99,
Thank you for contacting the Community.
If your bank is regularly missing transactions on the banking screen and you have completed all troubleshooting steps, I would recommend to give us a call and we can escalate this to our banking team and see if there is anything we can do.
In the meantime you can upload your bank transactions as a .csv file. I know this is not the ideal situation but this way you know all transactions will be pulled across to QuickBooks Online.
To do this on the banking screen click the arrow next to Update and then click File Upload. You will need to download the .csv file from your banks website.
I hope this helps, Carly.
I have escalated this with support as it ONLY seems to be on this Company - awaiting their response
Thank you Cathy, but it seems my desktop version of QB(Win10 QB Pro 2018) can not upload .csv files for bank transactions...
Hello, Gtclover.
The QuickBooks Desktop version accepts a .QBO file. First, you'll have to download the file from your bank's website to your computer. Then, import the transactions in the bank feeds.
Here's how to download the WebConnect file:
You can view the transactions in the Bank Feeds Center.
You can also use the IIF files. You can check this article for more information: Export or import Intuit Interchange Format (.IIF) files.
We're right here if you need more help from us. Have a good one!
Subject: Re: Missing Bank Transactions - Quickbooks Feed (QuickBooks Community Subscription Update)
Well yes I know that, Kristine Mae, sorry for the confusion, The question was related to the issue that sometimes these qbo files are missing transactions, and one of the solutions was to download the .CSV file of the same time period and and then using the .csv to find the missing transactions(
solution proposed by JackS: Downloading Your Bank Transactions and What To Do Next. Then to delete all but the missing data & use that file to upload the missing data. This is tedious when the missing data is random as well as the fact that my version (qb win 10 2018 desktop) does not allow me to "upload CSV files" so that I'm forced to add them manually 1 by 1. My comment was meant to say that for me that solution is inadequate for my purposes.
