Can I transfer customer records from one account to a new one

Hi Pete!

 

In QBO, you can transfer the customer name list, Peter, to the new company. However, please note that you will need to manually re-enter their transactions.

 

To export the name list:

 

  1. Click the Gear icon.
  2. Choose Export data and select the Lists tab.
  3. Select Customers 
  4. Click Export to Excel.

 

To import the customer records into the new QuickBooks Online (QBO) company:

 

  1. Click the Gear icon and choose Import data.
  2. Select Customers.
  3. Browse the folder where you save the exported list and choose the Excel file.
  4. Map your data and select Next.
  5. Adjust your data if necessary and click Import.

While QuickBooks Online UK does not have the capability to export invoices, credit notes, and sales receipts to a CSV file, it does offer the ability to import these transactions from a CSV file. If you need to export these transactions, I recommend exploring third-party apps that specialize in exporting QuickBooks Online data to CSV format. These apps can provide the functionality you need and allow you to export your transactions seamlessly.

 

To look for an app:

 

  1. Open this link: https://apps.intuit.com/app/apps/home.
  2. Change the flag icon to the UK flag.
  3. Find an app in Search field.

Utilize the trial period of a 3rd party backup tool and use the Copy feature to migrate the data between accoounts.
