How can I add a Capital on tap Credit card to my account, keep getting I must turn on Multi currency setting Im assuming it is because it is a .com site

It's good to see you here in the Community, lindsay.

I'm here to share some information about connecting your Capital on Tap account in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Connecting Capital on Tap is currently unavailable on Open Banking in QuickBooks Online. You can check out this article to know the supported banks under Open Banking: Understand if you can connect your bank feeds to Open Banking.

In the meantime, I recommend manually uploading transactions into the program. Doing so ensures you can review your transactions and categorise them. Allow me to provide the detailed steps.

First, get the transactions from your financial institution:

  1. Sign in to the Capital on Tap website.
  2. Follow the instructions on how to download CSV files of your transactions to your computer. Every financial institution has different steps.
  3. Make sure the date range for the download begins at least one day before your oldest transaction.
  4. Download your transactions. Save the file somewhere you can easily find it, like your computer's desktop.

Once done, upload them to the program:

  1. Go to Transactions, then select Bank transactions.
  2. Choose Upload transactions or Upload from file.

  3. Click Drag and drop or select files and add the downloaded file. Then, Continue.

  4. In the QuickBooks account ▼ drop-down menu, choose the account you want to upload the transactions. Then, Continue.

  5. Set up your file in QuickBooks to match everything, then Continue.

  6. Complete the set up to ensure you an import the data successfully.

In addition, I suggest submitting a request to add Capital on Tap to the list of supported institutions. Here's how:

  1. Go to Transactions, then select Bank transactions.
  2. Select Connect account or Link account.
  3. Click 'Still can’t find your bank?'. Scroll down the page to find this.
  4. Enter your bank name and web address (URL) in the field provided, then select Request.

Please feel free to reach out to me anytime if you require further assistance with QuickBooks. My goal is to ensure that you always achieve your desired outcomes in your bookkeeping.

I am a UK business with Quickbooks, but my Capital On Tap transactions are being loaded automatically. It just does not appear with my other bank accounts, but I access through the chart of accounts. My problem is that rules are not applied, and I have to manually edit every transaction to clasify it. If I change to the Import method, will it allow rules to be applied?

I can not find any setting that allows me to control (or setup) the connection between Capital On Tap and Quickbooks, but there is a connection! I set it up when I first opened my Capital on Tap account, I think I connected from Capital on tap to Quickbooks, rather than the other way round.
