Hello, the TZS Tanzanian Shilling currency has been the same rate for Aug 31 2023, Jul 31 2023 and June 30 2023. Does anyone else have the same issue please?

Hello Sercan-caktu-dev, welcome to the Community.  We've checked with our senior technicians, and we don't have any other reports of this issue. What rate is showing? In case this is a visual error can we ask you to open QuickBooks in a private/incognito window and then sign into QuickBooks and go to the foreign currency section and check if the rate shows as the same? If you could update us here with how you get on. Thanks

Hi, thanks for the quick reply.

I've tried Incognito mode and the rate is still showing the same as last time: 0.000344 

This is the same rate as July 31 2023 and June 30 2023.

Any other suggestions please?

Hi sercan-caktu-dev, thanks for trying those steps. Is the home currency of your QuickBooks account set to GBP?

As a workaround in the meantime, we'd recommend manually entering the exchange rate with the current FX rates found online, and then use this on any transactions that you need to enter for the day. To do this, navigate to the Cog > Currencies > Edit currency exchange > Choose the option for your rate and enter. Thanks :)

Any ideas if this will be fixed on the Quickbooks' side or is it a recurring issue to look out for?

Hello Sercan, the currency rates in QuickBooks come from IHS Markit exchange rates. If the rate is not updating in QuickBooks but is on IHS Markit then we'd need our senior technicians to investigate why this is. We get the same rate as you mentioned when testing. What are you expecting the rate to be?

The rate should be different from the previous month's, looking at OANDA.com's historical rates for 31st Aug 2023, the FX is showing around 0.00031467816 

Similarly on www.xe.com, the FX is around 0.00031
