Hi there, @stewartbowen.
The option to update the products' prices in bulk is currently not available. To modify the prices, you need to edit the amount manually by opening each item from the Products and Services window.
For the time being, I recommend searching for a third-party application from the apps store that can manage updating prices at once.
I can see how important this feature for you and other business users. Rest assured that our engineers are working nonstop to enhance the product for our customer's convenience.

Consider having an inventory management app to do so.
This is terrible and I cannot believe QuickBooks does not have this facility built in.... we have 4,000 stock lines to update with new prices and there is no built in tool to do this en mass.....this is pathetic.
I cannot believe QB does not have a routine to Export stock to Excel / you make adjustments to prices / you upload again....
We are now looking to change finance systems as we were lied to by the QB Sales team that told us this could be done
Hi, has there been any progress made with the feature to bulk upload price changes in quickbooks online. We have over 15,000 lines in stock which need to be changed annually.
Thanks
Alex
Nice to have you joined this thread, Steve.
I understand how beneficial it is to your business to be able to bulk upload price changes in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
As of now, there's no updates or news about the feature. Rest assured our engineering team is working diligently to have this roll out in the near future.
In the meantime, you can hover to the Apps menu in your QBO account and look for a third-party app that has the feature you need. You can also visit our QuickBooks Apps page for additional reference.
Once you've found an app, click it, then go to the Reviews tab and read the feedback of other users as your reference. When ready, click Get app now to link it to your QBO.
Furthermore, I'd recommend sending your feedback to our product development team. This way, they can review it and might consider adding this in our future updates.
In case you want to learn how to import your products and services, you can utilize this link for the detailed steps: Import products and services into QuickBooks Online.
If there's anything else you need help with about your products and services or with your QBO account, please feel free to add them in your reply. I'll be more than happy to back you up anytime. Keep safe and happy holidays!
Ha ha ha......Good luck.....you have absolutely no chance of QB sorting this.
Welcome to SlowBooks
We have moved applications as a direct result of this
Well, we upgraded our main website and now use OpenCart platform as that allows us to do everything we need via warehouses and stock handling. We have live feeds running in from our suppliers as well as price updates. For the suppliers that are not linked - we can use basic SQL updates too.... I updated 8,000 stock price lines in 5 mins....purchase price, mark up and selling price....We have built all the reports we need for sales reporting from the OC database direct and can have what we want - unlike QB where the fields you really want are not available for reporting and so on.... We then built a Sales Invoice App (you know...one where you can easily change a Sales Receipt to an Invoice as opposed to deleting and starting again....or select the Invoice / Sales Receipt and click refund and then edit......rather than have to build the whole document from scratch.....oh and linked into the payment gateway we use.....(that is is .6% fees....not the QB 3% fees...oh...and we have the invoice in the format we want - not the restrictive QB ones.....) rant over !!!
It is just incredible that Quickbooks allows you to have stock and then your can do nothing with it......they lie and mislead you when you purchase. I tried external apps to upload but all were terrible and slow and just did not do it correct.....Each stock line in QB has a unique ID - so not allowing an update based on that unique field to update other fields, the most simple DB update routine, is just incredulous and shows how naive and stupid the company is.
We are based in the UK - and happy to put you in touch with the development team we use if you are interested

So you are using OC to replace QBO? Which accounting app do you have now?
We are now using Xero, as we can perform all our reporting in OC so just need a basic tool for UK MTD VAT filing.
Thanks for sharing. You can also integrate OC and QBO with a connector same as OC and Xero.
Yes - but when you have been screwed over by a supplier - you soon loose trust and go elsewhere
Quickbooks is great for a small sole trader with say 50 transactions a month.....it is just not good enough for anything bigger
How long do we have to wait before we can do this via CSV import? can you put a timescale on this?
It's hardly a difficult SQL query to write to say the least, we have a few thousand products, as others have said, this would take days to update pricing on. Extremely disappointed and feeling extremely misled by QuickBooks.
I don't want a third-party add-on, in my many years' experience of this type of thing, it will have problems and cost a fortune, plus, it's not an unreasonable thing to expect from an accounts package.
Mate - they are not interested and do not care !!!
After the recent update on Monday - we are dumping SlowBooks are they have just made the time taken to raise a Sales Receipt by 10 !!!!!
I like that Intuit no longer even comment on this.....
Is it on a to do list or feature update list?
Could they not at least keep customers informed?
For the record, I hate the new customer creation side bar, much preferred the pop-up window, so rather than spending time doing things that add no additional functionality and just look different, why not fix major issues instead?
Yep, it is what happens when people who NEVER USE THE SYSTEM are allowed to do things "cause its really fashion" and makes them feel good.
That new side bar is the biggest F-Up ever.....
What is even more pathetic is that STILL!!! WHEN YOU ENTER THE PHONE NUMBER IS DOES NOT APPEAR ON THE SALES RECEIPT OF INVOICE ....
total total nonsense......
This is a product that is doomed.
I recommend everybody find an alternative quick

Then buying a 3rd party migration service to help.
I agree with you! Was just searching for the same thing and cannot believe QB doesn't have this function! We also have too many skus to be doing each one individually! This needs to be fixed asap!
I don't think they will do or care......
They don't even comment on threads like this about the subject, that speaks volumes. We moved approx. 10 months ago, from Sage. I am starting to regret the move as although Sage is expensive, painfully slow to use with horrendous queues for tech support, all the fundamentals of a modern accounts package are there (albeit poorly implemented).
Where do we go from here? who knows...? what packages out there are any less poor?
You can switch to another accounting app but you'll still need an inventory management app later. That's why they bought an app in 2020 and changed the name to QB Commerce.
I feel your pain. We were using an old QB Desktop version from 2014 - it worked perfectly and we could do things.
The QB online Sales team "100% assured me"! that the online version could do EVERYTHING the desktop version did !!! what a LIE !!!! We now pat double for a service that is inefficient and inadequate !!
It is the most restrictive app I have ever come across - great fof the sole trader / self employed with 50 invoices a year and 100 bills.....useless for anything else. They do not care and just look at the monthly revenue$$$$$$
There has been NO DEVELOPMENT of significance in the last 2 years.
The Dev team are not end users and so have no idea how the end users use the system
Until they have end users on the Dev Team - the product is doomed
They are all in the "the Emperors Coat" mode "!"
Seriously !!! $100 a month !!!!!! $1,200 a year !!!
https://quickbooks.intuit.com/quickbooks-commerce/#quickbookscommerceid
Ha ha ha - there are products a million time better out there is you are spending that much
Typical SlowBooks.....money $$$ money $$ money $$$$
That is all they are interested in - nothing for the Customer
Hi RichardH You're able to export your products and service list, update the price on the spreadsheet and re-import it. When you import the spreadsheet you need to select the 'Overwrite all values for each product or service that you import with the identical name. (This can’t be undone.)' and this will update the product with the new information.
